What You'll Learn
Sculpted Lips – Foundations is a comprehensive, in-depth training that combines online study with 6 total days of immersive, in-studio learning focused on technical skills, creative thinking, and real-world application.
Techniques Covered
Lip Blush – soft, sheer tint across the entire lip
Lipstick Effect – saturated color with a lipstick-style finish
Artistic Design – sculpting lips for structure and balance
You’ll also learn:
Proper Safety and Sanitation Understanding cross-contamination, BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens), PPE, and creating a sterile setup
The Sculpted Color Theory Method: Exclusive system developed by Carla Ricciardone, rooted in melanin science and color behavior in the skin
In-Depth Pigment Science: Learn formulation, undertone theory, modifier use, color shifts over time, and brand-specific comparisons
Before class begins, you’ll complete a pre-course study through our online learning platform to ensure you’re fully prepared and confident on Day 1.
Course Schedule
Day 1: In-depth theory, kit handover
Day 2: Theory continues + instructor demo
Day 3: Technique work + home study review
Training doesn’t end when class does.
Carla will personally review your practice work until you’re confident and ready to work on a live model.
Day 4: Live model (scheduled 4 weeks post-training, dependent on homework submission)
Day 5: Optional shadow day (scheduled upon request within 6 months)
Day 6: Optional additional model day (scheduled upon request within 6 months)
Training Format
This program is structured to build strong, lasting skills through a progressive and supportive path:
1. Home Study (Pre-Course Requirement)
Start with guided online learning before in-studio training, so you’re prepared and focused from the start.
2. Core Training: 3 Days In-Studio
Three immersive days focused on theory, technique, safety, and pigment science.

3. Practical Application & Guided Models
After core training, you’ll return for 3 additional in-studio days:
- Live model day
- Optional shadow day
- Optional additional model day
This structure ensures you’re not rushed. You’re supported every step of the way—from first strokes to final healed results.

I have experience in PMU, but not Lip Blush - which course should I take?
Either would work for you- it depends on your skill and confidence level. If you have at least 6 months of experience working on skin with a machine, the advanced course will be ok. One of our team members is always available to discuss details with you and help guide you to whats best.
Will I be ready to take clients right when I finish?
We will prepare you at the highest level to take clients. We suggest following our practice exercises and drills for a while after class before you take your first client.
